The food here is a cultural experience. Every meal it is something different. We eat a lot of carbs here. Rice, pasta, and potatoes frequent our meals. Brown is the color we see most often on our plates. We do receive vegetables, even though they are overcooked. One good thing is the salad bar at lunch and dinner. There are quite a few options of salad dressing and there are even ingredients so you can make your own (which I do every meal).
These are a few photos of the caf food. No, I didn’t select the worst looking days. These were captured at random times when I had my phone with me.
The plates are quite large, but we get hungry a few hours after eating. Not having food to snack on makes us binge eat at the meals. (Or overcompensate by snacking on bars of chocolate in our room). The food isn’t terrible, but if you want to come here, be aware of what awaits! I hope all the walking we do will counteract the carbs we eat!
